Tennis player Bia Haddad was proposed to by neurosurgeon Alex Daoud and received a Tiffany.Co jewelry for the new step in their relationship. The proposal took place at a private moment in Rome, Italy.


The athlete received a Tiffanny Setting ring, a classic model launched in 1886. The ring was an innovation at the time, with a design of six claws that hold the jewelry (until then, pieces were set into the metal or studded close to the ring). With its creation, founder Charles Lewis Tiffany developed what would become the world's leading model for engagement rings.


The jewelry also has a Triple Excellent cut, which is the highest standard in the sector. The value of the piece can vary according to specific characteristics of the gem (such as color, gemstone, weight and others), reaching around R$400,000, according to Vogue magazine.

In addition to the jewelry, Bia also received a letter written by Alex at the age of 10, in which he said that his dream was to marry the athlete in the future. "All of this was more than 20 years ago, and there is nothing like time to remember that love is the most beautiful and enjoyable part of life. You continue to be that same boy who conquers me every day with your love, care and affection", wrote the athlete when announcing the engagement.
