An earthquake measuring 6.1 on the Richter scale hit the city of West Palm Beach, Florida, on Monday the 8th, where the England team is preparing for the 2026 World Cup. According to the United States Geological Survey (USGS), the origin of the tremor was on the west coast of Cuba.


The epicenter of the earthquake was in the Gulf of Mexico, about 640 kilometers from Florida. According to the National Tsunami Warning Center, there is no risk of a tsunami in the United States.


Despite the scare, no damage caused by the earthquake was recorded in the CT where the English have been since last week, which serves as a temporary base.
