Wheel
John Mayer, Heavier Things (2003)
-------------------------------------------
Played pretty straightforward, do some
Hendrix fills for the Bbsus2's and whatever
else you feel like.
John also slaps the fretboard on the high
frets to make the artificial harmonics
you hear on the record.
The F voicing John uses is pretty infamous
among fans--as he does his crazy thumb
stretch thing--but I've noticed that even
he uses his pinky finger to hit the bass
now, as seen on his 2023 solo tour.
