This is a twist on the melody to The Godfather Waltz. The cue plays as the camera is on Sonny's lifeless
body on the causeway after having been set up and shot by a rival family. The scene transitions to Tom
sitting in the office, having a drink before preparing to tell their father what happened.
A pretty low pitch recording with the viola shining through various layers of strings, then the clarinet and
horn also taking leads. Composed by Nino Rota and conducted by Carlo Savina. Transposal to the mandolin in
standard tuning GDae.
