Peach - Adam Melchor

I wrote this up a couple months back before it was officially released on the fruitland
EP, so there could be
some lyric changes etc. It's not perfect (this is only my 2nd tab) but hopefully it will
give fans of the song
a place to start! On the uke I like how it sounds with a 2-3-4-3 plucking pattern
throughout but obviously
its's up to you!!

[Verse 1]
G Cadd9 G Cadd9
What a peach! A sight for sore eyes!
G Cadd9
someone who devastates you with the
G Cadd9 D
truth, and all her white lies. I believed her
D7 G
for keeps and all times.

[Verse 2]
G Cadd9 G
Once you get a taste of her on your
Cadd9 D D7
tongue and in your mind, that is it, the
G
claiming of you.

[Verse 3]
G Cadd9 G
Your waiting heart is fading farther from the
Cadd9 D D7
wind she sails through and your world is
G
just her oyster.

[Pre-Chorus]
G Cadd9
As you walk arm in arm through every
G Cadd9 G7
park while girls and boys stir.

[Chorus]
C D G C
Who knows when this life ends? When it
D G C G
stops or starts again. Well If our days are
C D
numbered babe, then why do we keep
Gsus4 G D
count? I’ll sit and enjoy the view I have of
G
you right now.

[Verse 4]
G Cadd9 G Cadd9 G
I’m a peach (oh!) on her lips. The juice
Cadd9 G
from every bite of me is what she wants to
Cadd9 D D7 G
sip and then turn me into wine.

[Verse 5]
G Cadd9 G
All the Holy Ghosts in her just say
Cadd9 D D7
there’s no more time and what is gold now
G
is mud.

[Verse 6]
G Cadd9 G
The garden I will grow from this is what I
Cadd9 D D7 G
will become, and I’ll be held in pots of clay.

[Pre-Chorus]
G Cadd9 G
For now I'll have this look of sadness pressed
Cadd9 G7
upon my face

[Chorus]
C D G C
Oh, who knows when this life ends? When
D G C G
it stops or starts again? Well if our days
C D
are numbered babe, then why do we keep
Gsus4 G D
count? I’ll sit and enjoy the view, I have of
G
you right now.

[Outro]
G C
Well if our days are numbered babe, then
D Gsus4 G
why do we keep count? I’ll sit and enjoy
D G
