Laughter - Bruce Cockburn
View chords used in this chart
open C. However, it works perfectly well in dropped-D, too. The only
difficulty is in the chorus section: for the first chord shape, you need to
barre the E,A & D strings at the 2nd fret with your first finger, while
keeping the G string open AND fretting the B and e strings at 3 and 5
respectively. If that's just ridiculous, then ignore the open G string
and play a straight barre chord.

I haven't included timing marks: I figure you'd have to know the song to
want to try and play it anyway. Note that Bruce modifies the verse section
a couple of times to get a more arpeggiated, sustained feel (eg the verse
about nuclear good-time boys). For this you can use the same fingerings,
just change the style.

That reminds me... i have one question about the lyrics of the song that
you may be able to help with:
Here's to the sun _______________????
Through a thermal inversion haze
Here's to the nuclear good time boys
Numbering all our days...

Comments, corrections welcome (nay, encouraged!). Thanks to Andrew
