TIME SIGNATURES:
The first part of the intro section is a bar of 6/8
followed by a bar of 7/8, before settling back into
6/8 throughout the links and verses.
I find it much simpler to think of the count as
3 bars of 3/4, with a bar of 4/4 on the end...
1 2 3 1 2 3 1 2 3 1 2 3 4
| / / / | / / / | / / / | / / / / |
The above is the sequence until it changes to
alternating from Dm to C for the verses,
which are in waltz time, 3 beats for each chord.
KEY:
Judging by performances on Youtube the band
play it live in Bbm.
FINE TUNING:
The original studio track is quite sharp above
standard pitch, likely everything was tuned to the
unusual pitch of the harpsichord.
Standard pitch for A4 = 440Hz, but for the harpsicord
the pitch is 415Hz.
To more closely match the original studio recording,
you need to use a chromatic tuner and tune all strings
up between approx. + 20 to +25 cents above
standard tuning and then add a capo at the first fret.
CAPO: 1st fret
(Will then sound in the recorded approx. key of Bbm)
Played fingerstyle
Chord names & fret positions are relative to the capo
