Eric's Song

I was surprised to find no one seemed to have done this song yet. I don't have the music book unfortunately, and she adds a LOT of flourishes on this song. In particular there's sections in the bridge I'm not entirely sure about. Also, during the Chorus the transition from F#m7 to E again sounds much closer if you bar the E at the 7th fret, it seems to fit very well if I pick arpeggio. Feel free to send any mistakes, corrections or comments to zarathustras_crown@yahoo.com hope you enjoy :)
intro:
A E
Verse:
A E
Strange how you know inside me

Strange how I know inside you
F#m F#m7 D Dsus2
My hand is outstretched toward the damp of the haze

A E
And of course I forgive
A E
I've seen how you live
F#m F#m7 E
Like a phoenix you rise from the ashes
D Dsus2
You pick up the pieces
A E
And the ghosts in the attic
F#m F#m7 D Dsus2
They never quite leave
A E
And of course I forgive
A E
You've seen how I live
F#m F#m7 E
I've got darkness and fears to appease
D Dsus2
My voices and analogies
A E
Ambitions like ribbons

Worn bright on my sleeve

A E
Strange how I fit into you
F#m F#m7 D Dsus2
There's a distance erased with the greatest of ease

A gentle warmth filling the deepest of needs
A E
And with each passing day
A E
The stories we say
F#m F#m7 E
Draw us tighter into our addiction
D Dsus2
Confirm our conviction
A E
That some kind of miracle
F#m F#m7 D Dsus2
Passed on our hands
A E
And how I am sure
A E
Like never before
F#m F#m7 E
Of my reasons for defying reason
D Dsus2
Embracing the seasons
A E
We dance through the colors
F#m D Dsus2
Both followed and led
A E
Strange how we fit each other
(bridge. I THINK this is largely variations on the A E theme from the intro with the odd D and Dsus2 thrown in. Unfortunately I'm not 100% on this part)
A E
A E
Strange how certain the journey
F#m F#m7
Time unfolds the petals
D Dsus2
For our eyes to see
A E
Strange how this journey's hurting
F#m F#m7 D Dsus2
In ways we accept as part of fate's decree
A E
So we just hold on fast
A E
Acknowledge the past
F#m F#m7 E
As lessons exquisitely crafted
D Dsus2
Painstakingly drafted
A E
To carve us as instruments
F#m D Dsus2
That play the music of life

For we don't realize
A E
Our faith in the prize
F#m F#m7 E
Unless it's been somehow elusive

How swiftly we choose it

The sacred simplicity
F#m F#m7 D Dsus2
Of you at my side
