"In light of the violation of the ceasefire agreement by the terrorist party Hezbollah and the attack on the Israeli home front, the Defense Forces are forced to act against it with force. The Israel Defense Forces do not intend to harm them," wrote Adraee.

Previous evacuation orders excluded the Christian neighborhood, but the military said Hezbollah militants "were operating in the area." They had warned residents that the region could be the target of new orders if Hezbollah remained present.

"Any movement south of the Zahrani River could put their lives at risk," said the Israeli military spokesman.

The new withdrawal order in Lebanon comes at a time when the ceasefire in the Middle East war has become more fragile.

Israel was preparing for a significant attack on Iran this Monday (8), when United States President Donald Trump called Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu to ask him to postpone further attacks in the region, according to an Israeli source and a US official.

On Monday, Iran said it had suspended military operations against Israel, but warned it would resume them if attacks continued, including in southern Lebanon.

"If aggression and hostile acts persist - including in southern Lebanon -, much more severe and repressive measures than previous ones will be taken," the Iranian Army said in a statement.

Resumption of attacks in the Middle East
In the first offensive on an energy facility inside Iran since the April 8 ceasefire, Israeli forces say they have hit targets at the Mahshahr petrochemical complex, while a provincial official told Fars that parts of the plant were damaged.

Yemen's Tehran-aligned Houthis have vowed to impede Israeli shipping in the Red Sea and claimed responsibility for the first missile attack on Israel since the ceasefire, prompting the Israeli military to activate its air defense systems.

"We consider all enemy movements to be legitimate military targets for our armed forces," the Houthis added in a statement.

Iran fired missiles at Israeli targets in retaliation, but Trump insisted a deal to end the war was still possible.
