Occupation of the rectory
The students who participated in the strike broke down a gate at the beginning of May and managed to occupy the institution's rectory. Protesters called for the reopening of the negotiation table between the strike command and rector Aluísio Segurado.
After three days, the PM's Riot Police surrounded the building while the students were sleeping and evacuated the students.
The Rectory of USP released, on the occasion, a note regretting the invasion of the building and stating that the act was an "escalation of violence with damage to public property".
