Actor Hugh Laurie, 66, responded to viewers' criticism of the script for the series "House". The actor explained that the focus of the series was to present variations on a central theme, addressing hospital situations. "It wasn't for you", he adds, adding that, despite everything, he waits for the release of the writer's first novel.

The series was inspired by the New York Times Magazine's "Diagnosis" column, written by physician Lisa Sanders, in which she documents medical mysteries and their causes. Laurie's House, however, was not limited to diagnosing cases; An extremely cynical character, he dealt with his own addiction to painkillers and faced situations with an acidic sense of humor.
