Demi Moore is the target of family dispute and accused of threatening ex-son-in-law

Actress Demi Moore, 63, was named in the legal dispute between her daughter, Rumer Willis, 37, and her ex-partner, musician Derek Richard Thomas, also 37, who claims to have been threatened by the Hollywood star.

Last week, Rumer accused her ex of psychological violence and controlling behavior throughout the relationship and after the separation. The allegations appear in documents presented to the US Court in opposition to the request for shared custody involving the ex-couple's 3-year-old daughter, Louetta.

In the documents, Rumer alleged that her ex had maintained a "persistent pattern" of abuse and coercion, with episodes that allegedly occurred in the presence of her daughter or during car trips.

Derek, in turn, denied the accusations and presented his own version of the facts.

According to the new documents, the musician stated that Rumer wanted to spend the first few weeks after her daughter's birth without receiving visitors. He claimed that his ex told him in no uncertain terms that she didn't want relatives around during the first 40 days after Louetta's birth in 2023.

Despite this, Derek reported that Demi attended her daughter's residence the day after the birth.

"Nevertheless, the day after Louetta was born, Mrs. Moore and staff from her residence entered the home and caused a significant disturbance."

In the same statement, Derek reported having been threatened after Demi interpreted that he was responsible for the restriction on visits desired by his own daughter.

"On this occasion, Mrs. Moore, apparently because of something Rumer had said, threatened to 'destroy' me."

The musician also alleged that, during the relationship, Rumer expressed a desire to live away from her mother to "free herself from the actress's controlling and toxic behavior."

To date, Rumer and Demi have not publicly commented on the new allegations.
