Highlight of the Paraguayan National Team, Julio Enciso is out of the team's debut in the World Cup, on Friday (12), against the United States, in Los Angeles. The duel is valid for Group D of the World Cup.


According to Paraguayan newspaper ABC, Enciso will not recover in time for the clash. The player was injured last Friday (5), in the 4-0 defeat of Nicaragua, at the Defensores del Chaco stadium, in Asunción, Paraguay. He has now returned to work in a moderate manner.


After being divided with a marker, Enciso suffered an injury to his right thigh. The player left the field in tears, but appeared on the field on Sunday (7), during training for the Paraguayan National Team.

The Paraguayan Federation also officially confirmed Enciso's absence from the debut. The tendency is for the player to be able to play against Turkey, in the second round of Group D of the World Cup.


Recently, Paraguay confirmed the squad for the 2026 World Cup with four players who play in São Paulo football: Gustavo Gómez, Mauricio and Ramón Sosa, from Palmeiras, in addition to Damián Bobadilla, from São Paulo.


Paraguay is in Group D of the World Cup and will face the United States, Türkiye and Australia in the group. The debut will be against the World Cup hosts, the USA, on June 12th (Friday), at 10pm (Brasília time).
