After removing the current grass, the field will undergo soil treatment and preparation stages, including fertilization, irrigation and a germination period. Next, the structural reinforcement process known as "stitching" will be carried out, a technique that uses synthetic fibers sewn to the natural lawn to increase the surface's resistance. This phase is expected to last approximately ten days, before final adjustments are made to release the field.

The last complete replacement of the Neo Química Arena lawn took place in September 2025. At the time, the intervention was carried out in preparation for the National Football League (NFL) match played in Itaquera between the Los Angeles Chargers and Kansas City Chiefs.

The maintenance schedule was planned to begin after the friendly between the women's teams of Brazil and the United States, held last Saturday (6), at the Neo Química Arena. The team led by Arthur Elias won 2 x 1 in front of more than 30 thousand fans.

With the pause in national competitions, Corinthians found an ideal window to make improvements without compromising the game calendar. The men's squad went on vacation after the 3 x 1 victory over Grêmio, in the Brazilian Championship, and will only officially return to action in July.

In addition to changing the pitch, the black and white board is also studying other interventions in the stadium's structure. Among the planned actions is a general cleaning of the Neo Química Arena, including external areas and coverage. The last operation of this size took place in 2020, before the implementation of the visual identity linked to the stadium's naming rights agreement.

Another topic under analysis involves the modernization and maintenance of the screens and LED panels spread throughout the Arena. The club evaluates alternatives to correct wear and tear accumulated over the years and seeks partners to make improvements to equipment possible.

Corinthians' expectation is to take advantage of the period without matches to carry out the necessary interventions and deliver the Neo Química Arena fully prepared to receive commitments for the second half of the season.
