Former player and sports commentator Stacey King died this Sunday (7), aged 59. The information was confirmed by the Chicago Bulls, but the cause of death was not officially disclosed.
Selected by the Bulls with the sixth overall selection in the 1989 NBA Draft, after excelling at the University of Oklahoma, King was part of the squad led by Michael Jordan that won the franchise's first of three consecutive titles in 1991.
In a statement, Bulls owner Jerry Reinsdorf mourned the death of the former athlete.

Her connection to Chicago, the Bulls and fans spanned more than three decades," he said.
Over eight seasons in the NBA, King played in 438 games and averaged 6.4 points and 3.3 rebounds per game. In addition to the Bulls, he also played for the Minnesota Timberwolves, Miami Heat, Dallas Mavericks and Boston Celtics.
After ending his career, King returned to the Bulls in 2006 as a studio analyst and, two years later, took on the role of commentator on the team's broadcasts, becoming one of the franchise's best-known voices.
