Two goals from Jhon Arias gave Colombia a 2-0 victory over Jordan in San Diego, California, in the United States, this Sunday (7), in the last friendly to prepare for the World Cup. It was the second consecutive victory for the cafeteros, who had defeated Costa Rica 3-1 earlier this month.
James RodrĂguez threw the ball to Arias to open the scoring in the 41st minute. The Palmeiras attacking midfielder initially stumbled on the ball, but regained his composure and beat Jordanian goalkeeper Yazeed Abulaila.
Arias scored the second goal 10 minutes into the second half, heading home Santiago Arias' precise cross. Jordan were unable to enter the game at any point, and midfielder Amer Jamous was sent off in stoppage time after receiving a second yellow card.
