Madonna aposta em filme para apresentar novo álbum; know where to watch

Singer Madonna, 67, will release this Monday (8) the short film "Confessions II", a project created to accompany the release of her long-awaited studio album of the same name.

Directed by David Toro and Solomon Chase, the film features appearances by Arca, Benedict Cumberbatch, Kate Moss, Julia Garner, Gwendoline Christie, Honey Dijon, Richard E. Grant and Lourdes Leon, the artist's daughter. Also appearing in the project are English player Cole Palmer, Brazilian striker João Pedro, as well as Archie Madekwe, Debi Mazar, Odessa A'zion and Shygirl.

The short recently premiered at the Tribeca Festival and will be available for free on YouTube.

According to the description released by the event, the production is more than ten minutes long and was based on the first six tracks from the Queen of Pop's new album, including "I Feel So Free" and "Bring Your Love", in partnership with Sabrina Carpenter.

"'Confessions II' is a bold visual work, built around the first six tracks from Madonna's upcoming album," says the text.

According to the festival, the film was conceived as a continuous experience, with no narrative divisions between songs.

"The film unfolds as a single piece, interweaving sequences connected by music into an immersive cinematic experience", describes the organization.

A proposta é transformar as canções em imagens e abordar assuntos do universo artístico da estrela.

"A film that gives materiality to music, 'Confessions II' exists in the tension between control and surrender, between being seen and disappearing in the crowd", says another excerpt from the synopsis.

The release anticipates the arrival of "Confessions II", the sequel to the acclaimed "Confessions on a Dance Floor" (2005), one of the most celebrated works in the artist's discography and responsible for hits such as "Hung Up", "Sorry" and "Jump". The new material is scheduled for release on July 3rd.
