Apple Corp. recognized the movement of fans to have an international date in honor of the band's legacy. Therefore, June 25th was chosen as "World Beatles Day".
The date marks the day, in 1967, when the band was in Studio One at Abbey Road Studios, in London, and participated in the BBC program Our World. On the occasion, Paul McCartney, Ringo Starr, John Lennon and George Harrison made the first international satellite broadcast of the song "All You Need Is Love", performed live on the radio, which reached around 400 million people.
A few decades ago, fans around the globe used June 25th as an unofficial date to celebrate the band's enormous legacy, with exhibitions, performances and, more, a proposal initiated by Faith Cohen, a longtime fan. Now, Apple Corp. company founded by the band and responsible for managing their ventures, recognized World Beatles Day.

To celebrate the date, the band will release on its YouTube channel for free the colorized version of the performance "All You Need Is Love" on the BBC program Our World, which turns 59 this year. On The Beatles' official website, fans can participate in a global initiative to celebrate World Beatles Day by registering at this link.
