The PoderData survey released this Friday (5) shows that 41% of Brazilians consider the government of President Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva (PT) to be better than the administration of former President Jair Bolsonaro (PL).


On the other hand, 37% say that the current government is worse than the previous one, a result that constitutes a technical tie within the margin of error of two percentage points. Another 21% evaluate the two administrations as equal, while 1% were unable to answer.


Among those interviewed who consider Lula's government to be better than Bolsonaro's, the largest proportion is among people aged 60 or over (50%), without formal education (60%), with an income of up to two minimum wages (53%) and residents of the Northeast region (65%).

Among those who rate the current administration as worse, there is a predominance of young people aged 16 to 24 (44%), people with completed higher education (52%), respondents with an income above five minimum wages and residents of the South region (56%).


Methodology
2,500 people were interviewed across the country between May 30th and June 1st, 2026. The margin of error is two percentage points, plus or minus, with a 95% confidence level.
