Government officials ask US deputies to investigate the Bolsonaro and Master clan

Deputies from the government base of President Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva (PT) sent a formal request to parliamentarians from the United States Democratic Party to investigate possible financial connections in American territory involving members of the Bolsonaro family and Banco Master.

The document is signed by the leader of the PT in the Chamber, Pedro Uczai (SC), by the leader of the PCdoB, Jandira Feghali (RJ), by the deputy leader of the government Pedro Campos (PSB-PE) and by deputy André Janones (Rede-MG).

In the request, Brazilian parliamentarians ask that American congressmen examine the possible use of companies, investment funds, law firms, bank accounts and contracts based or operated in the United States to hide assets, money laundering, irregular political financing and obstruction of investigations.

The request specifically mentions Banco Master and its former controller, Daniel Vorcaro, as well as structures related to Reag Investimentos and funds that, according to the signatories, appear in reports and investigations into alleged financial fraud and money laundering schemes.

The deputies maintain that there are public elements that would justify an investigation into a possible international financial route involving resources linked to the Banco Master ecosystem and people associated with the Bolsonaro family.

The document cites suspicions that amounts possibly related to Vorcaro could have passed through business and contractual structures in the United States before directly or indirectly benefiting former federal deputy Eduardo Bolsonaro, who currently lives in the United States.

The parliamentarians state that they are not attributing definitive criminal responsibility to those involved, but they defend the opening of investigative procedures to clarify the origin and movement of the resources.

According to the text, the objective is for American authorities and representatives to evaluate bank records, corporate documents, contracts, financial transactions and possible final beneficiaries of operations carried out in the United States.

The document also makes reference to senator Flávio Bolsonaro (PL-RJ). The authors mention the need to investigate information about an alleged request for resources from Daniel Vorcaro and the possible linking of these amounts to audiovisual projects of political interest. The allegations are presented by parliamentarians as hypotheses that should be verified by competent authorities.

To CNN Brasil, Flávio Bolsonaro stated that his brother did not participate in the financial management of the production.

"He didn't manage money. In fact, he was a person who put money from his pocket into this project. He was the one who got the director with Hollywood standards", he stated.

The senator also denied that resources from the private fund used to finance the film were allocated to Eduardo Bolsonaro.

"There is not a single cent placed in this private fund that went to Eduardo", he declared.

Another highlighted point is the supposed relationship between Banco Master operations and funds linked to Reag Investimentos. According to the signatories, reports and public investigations point to the need to determine whether resources from these financial structures could have been used to finance political activities, lobbying actions, communication campaigns or initiatives developed in the United States.

In the assessment of government deputies, the possible use of the American financial system to hide or circulate international resources would require cooperation between Brazilian and North American authorities.

The request advocates the preservation of documents, contracts, bank records and corporate information that could assist ongoing investigations in Brazil.

The parliamentarians also request that the Democratic congressmen forward the information to the competent authorities in the United States and evaluate measures to identify final beneficiaries of payments, contracts and investment structures possibly related to the facts narrated.

In the end, the signatories state that international cooperation would be essential to clarify whether financial mechanisms based in the United States were used to hide assets, irregular political financing or circulation of resources linked to alleged financial crimes investigated in Brazil.
