Almost a month after the declaration of a ceasefire, the US and Iran return to combat in the Strait of Hormuz region
National Newspaper/ Reproduction
Four Iranian-flagged oil tankers crossed the Strait of Hormuz loaded on Monday (1st), in the first movement of this type recorded since mid-April, when the United States blockade of Iranian ports came into force. The information was released this Thursday (4) by the maritime tracking company Kpler.
Kpler detected the passage of the ships Hilda I, Amber, Silvia I and Happiness I, which transported a total of 7 million barrels of oil.
Everyone loaded their goods in mid-April on Khark Island, the country's main oil terminal, through which 90% of the Islamic Republic's oil normally passes.
The ships crossed the strait on Monday with their AIS transponders turned off.

Kpler mainly uses satellite images to track vessels transporting raw materials.
The four ships are part of a route frequently used to transport Iranian oil. The vessels continue to an offshore area close to the coasts of Malaysia and Singapore, where the cargo is transferred at sea to other oil tankers that complete the journey to their final destination, usually in China.
Tehran adopted this practice to circumvent international sanctions.
Initially, the four oil tankers maintained their operations despite the conflict. But they suspended activities on April 13, when Washington imposed a blockade on Iranian ports in response to Tehran's closure of the Strait of Hormuz.
Three oil tankers linked to Iran had already defied the blockade on April 15, according to Kpler. However, none have attempted to do so since.
The US Army regularly announces actions against oil tankers who attempt to violate the blockade.
Reopening of the Strait of Hormuz is unlikely to end the oil crisis quickly
