Instagram Plus, the paid version of the social network, began to be released in Brazil this Thursday (4). The service will offer exclusive features for users who pay R$10 per month.
The subscription gives more priority to stories, increasing the chances of them being seen by more followers. It also allows publications to remain live for 48 hours, instead of the current 24 hours. (see all resources below)
It also offers the option of creating lists of followers similar to those of best friends. The idea is to allow stories to be shared with exactly the group you want.
Meta, owner of Instagram, should soon start releasing paid versions of WhatsApp and Facebook. In the messaging app, for example, the subscription should unlock new personalization features, premium stickers, personalized ringtones, among other functions.
Check out the exclusive features of Instagram Plus below:
Priority in delivering stories to your followers;
Option to keep stories up for 48 hours, instead of just 24 hours;
Audience lists to share stories with specific groups;
Animated likes that occupy the entire screen and can be sent to friends;
Preview stories without the other person knowing;
Data on how many times your stories were rewatched;
Search the list of story views to quickly find specific people;
Custom Instagram icon based on a selection made by the social network;
Personalized font in bio;
Option to pin up to six posts to the profile, instead of three;
Option to publish something directly on the profile or highlights, without appearing in the feed or stories for followers.

The paid version of Instagram had been announced at the end of May by Meta's product director, Naomi Gleit. The executive said that it could soon be managed in a center created by the company.
"You may see us testing subscriptions under the Meta One name. While we are still in the testing and learning phase, we believe that eventually Meta One will be the centralized place that brings together your subscriptions across all of our apps," he said.
In 2023, Meta launched paid, ad-free versions of Facebook and Instagram in Europe to comply with European Union data protection legislation.
Now, the decision to release subscriptions to more countries shows Meta's desire to diversify its revenues beyond advertising.
The company faces pressure from investors due to its spending on artificial intelligence. The company's projection is that investments in this sector, especially with data centers, will reach between US$ 125 billion and US$ 145 billion (between R$ 630 billion and R$ 730 billion).
