Ellie Goulding has confirmed the release of her sixth studio album, "I Know Too Much". The new work is scheduled to reach the public on September 4th and will feature 10 tracks. So far, the complete list of songs has not yet been released, but the project already marks a new phase in the British singer's trajectory.

The album follows "Higher Than Heaven", released in 2023, an album that returned Ellie to the top of the British album chart. In the same week of that release, the artist also topped the UK singles list with "Miracle", a highly successful partnership with Calvin Harris.

According to the singer herself, "I Know Too Much" comes from a specific period in her life and works as a kind of musical diary. Ellie describes the project as a more honest collection of songs, built from personal experiences and more direct writing.

The album's title is based on the idea that "knowing too much" can also limit freedom. The artist relates the new work to a search for different sounds, tempos and textures, something that resonates with her career marked by the mix of pop, electronic music and more intimate compositions.

The first single from this new phase will be "Black Prada Dress", scheduled for release on Friday, June 5th. The track had already been performed live during Ellie Goulding's appearance at BBC Radio 1's Big Weekend, held in Sunderland, the previous month.

Before the official announcement of "I Know Too Much", Ellie had already released "Destiny", a song that marked her solo return after "Higher Than Heaven". In an interview with NME, the singer indicated that the new material would feature some of her most direct lyrics, written without so much concern about meeting external expectations.

Ellie Goulding emerged in the late 2000s and consolidated her name with the album "Lights", released in 2010. Then came works such as "Halcyon", "Delirium", "Brightest Blue" and "Higher Than Heaven", showing an artist capable of moving between electronic ballads, synth-pop, dance collaborations and tracks with strong radio appeal.

Among his biggest hits are "Lights", "Burn", "Anything Could Happen", "Love Me Like You Do" and "Miracle". The singer also has two Grammy nominations: one for "Love Me Like You Do", in 2016, and another for "Miracle", in 2024, in the category of Best Dance Pop Recording.

With "I Know Too Much", Ellie Goulding signals an album less based solely on the dance floor and more interested in recording an intimate phase of transformation. The release puts the singer back in the spotlight as one of the most recognizable voices in contemporary British pop.
