Peugeot offers 208 and 2008 with up to R$57,000 discount for taxis and app

Peugeot announced a new campaign aimed at taxi drivers and app drivers, a segment that has gained strategic importance in the Brazilian automotive market. The action covers the Peugeot 208 Allure T200 AT and Peugeot 2008 Allure T200 AT models, with discounts that can exceed R$57,000 for professionals who are entitled to IPI and ICMS exemptions.

The opportunity comes at a time of expectation for the entry into force of the Move Brasil Program, a line of credit announced by the Federal Government through BNDES to encourage the renewal of the fleet of individual transport professionals. According to Peugeot, the objective is to expand the brand's presence in high-volume sales channels. The models on offer are imported from Argentina.

The main highlight of the action is the Peugeot 2008 Allure T200 AT. With a suggested public price of R$168,990, the compact SUV now costs R$111,622 for taxi drivers entitled to tax exemptions, which represents a reduction of more than R$57,000. For app drivers and taxi drivers without tax benefits, the same model is offered for R$133,333.

Like the SUV, the 208 uses the same 1.0 Turbo Flex engine associated with the simulated seven-speed CVT transmission. The engine delivers 200 Nm of torque and allows acceleration from 0 to 100 km/h in up to 8.6 seconds, according to data released by the manufacturer.

In the equipment package, the hatch offers a 10.3-inch Peugeot i-Connect Advanced multimedia center, a 10-inch digital dashboard, wireless mirroring for Android Auto and Apple CarPlay and the suite of driving assistance called Peugeot Driver Assist.

Peugeot's campaign will remain in force until June 19, a date that coincides with the scheduled start of operations of the federal financing program for the sector.
