More than 30 thousand Law graduates will take the 5th edition of ENAM
More than 31 thousand Law graduates are expected to participate, this Sunday (7), in the 5th edition of the National Judiciary Exam (Enam), held in all Brazilian capitals. The exam is a mandatory step for anyone who wishes to compete for judge positions in the country.
According to the organization, 31,538 candidates had their registration confirmed in this edition. São Paulo leads the number of participants, with 5,787 registered, followed by Rio de Janeiro, Minas Gerais and the Federal District.

The test will be administered in the afternoon, from 1 pm to 6 pm (Brasília time). The gates will close at 12:30 pm, and the recommendation is that candidates arrive at least an hour and a half in advance.
⏰ The organization also reinforces that there will be no tolerance for delays, and that access to the test site will only be allowed with an official document with photo and black or blue ink ballpoint pen.
Created by the National Council of Justice (CNJ), the National Judiciary Examination is a mandatory stage for anyone wishing to participate in competitions for judge in state courts, federal, labor and military.
In practice, Enam does not offer vacancies directly. It works as a qualification stage: only those approved can register for the judicial examinations.
The certificate is valid for two years and can be extended once for the same period.
The purpose of the exam is to establish a national selection standard and reduce the differences between the examinations held by the courts in each state.

Humanistic Training.
To be qualified, the broad competition candidate must achieve at least 70% correct answers. Affirmative action participants have a minimum requirement of 50%.

'I think we will be able to select a relevant number of very qualified people to become judges', said Barroso
'Exam values reasoning'
In an interview with g1, the general director of the National School of Training and Improvement of Magistrates (Enfam) and minister of the Superior Court of Justice (STJ), Benedito Gonçalves, stated that Enam was created to change the focus of competitions for judges.
"We have to get away from that candidate who becomes a test-taking machine (...) It is not about memorizing articles of law or the Constitution. The exam values reasoning, problem solving and the ability to deal with concrete situations", he said.
For the minister, the exam also contributes to changing the profile of future magistrates.
"The judge competition is not democratic, it is not accessible (...) the objective difficulty ends up creating a barrier for many people (...) Enam came to look at another layer of society".
According to data from Enfam, in this fifth edition, women are the majority among those registered, representing 55.14% of the total, while men make up 44.83%. The survey also shows the participation of 5,187 black people, 1,709 people with disabilities, as well as indigenous people and quilombolas.
The data, according to the minister, points to a subtle advance.

After four editions of the test, Enfam states that Enam already brings together around 17 thousand qualified candidates across the country.
In the minister's assessment, the exam is already beginning to have an impact on the training of candidates taking part in the judicial examinations.
"I consider it a success, especially due to the quality of the candidates who arrive at the examinations and training courses", he said.
The qualification bank started to be used as a mandatory preliminary stage for judicial examinations in different branches of the Judiciary, which, according to Enfam, contributes to greater uniformity in the profile of candidates at the same level. national.
When asked about the exam's security scheme, the minister also stated that the process follows strict security and secrecy standards. According to him, in previous editions there was no record of relevant occurrences.
"In security, secrecy prevails. But I can say that, in the four editions of Enam, we did not have any serious cases", added the minister.
