Robert Pattinson once again spoke about one of the most debated topics since the release of "The Batman": the criticism he received from fans regarding his physical size when playing the Dark Knight. The British actor, who is preparing to return to the role in the long-awaited sequel directed by Matt Reeves, revealed that he dedicated himself intensely to training and was surprised by the negative repercussions about his appearance.

During a recent interview with GQ magazine, Pattinson commented in a relaxed manner about comments that stated that he had not adequately prepared himself to play Bruce Wayne. According to the star, public perception ended up being influenced by statements he made years ago, when he minimized the importance of physical exercise in interviews.

According to the actor, the reality was completely different. Pattinson stated that he trained daily during preparation for the first film, performing two exercise sessions a day at times. Even so, many viewers continued to believe that he had not developed the muscles expected for a superhero of Batman's stature.

"I trained every day", declared the actor, highlighting that his routine included physical activities at extremely difficult times, sometimes starting in the early hours of the morning. He admitted that some old interviews ended up creating the wrong image about his commitment to physical preparation.

The dedication to the character remains firm. Pattinson revealed that he installed a complete gym in his home to prepare for the recording of "The Batman - Part II", a production that is among the most anticipated projects by DC fans. The actor also joked about the anxiety surrounding the new film's schedule, stating that he still receives little detailed information about the start of filming.

The sequel to "The Batman" is scheduled to hit theaters in October 2027 and promises to further expand the universe created by Matt Reeves. The project will remain independent of the main DC Studios universe led by James Gunn and Peter Safran, allowing Pattinson to continue playing his version of Batman.

In addition to preparing for Batman, the actor also commented on the challenges faced when recording "The Odyssey", a new feature film directed by Christopher Nolan. According to Pattinson, the work was one of the most exhausting of his career, requiring constant travel and filming in difficult-to-access locations.

As production on the sequel progresses, the actor's statement serves as the definitive response to critics. Pattinson makes it clear that the effort to transform into Batman has always existed, even if part of the public didn't realize it on screen.
