Desenrola 2.0, a program launched at the beginning of May that is aimed at Brazilians indebted to the banking system who have a monthly income of up to five minimum wages, renegotiated R$ 20 billion, reported this Wednesday (3) the Minister of the Civil House, Miriam Belchior.
According to the balance released during a ministerial meeting, 1.4 million renegotiations were made, with the average discount being 85% of the original value of the debt. As a result, the debt fell from R$ 20 billion to R$ 2.7 billion.
In Desenrola dasfamilias, new loans are made by banks for debts contracted until January 31, 2026 and which are overdue between 90 days and 2 years, with credit cards, special checks and personal credit (CDC).
The renegotiated debt will have:
discounts between 30% and 90%;
maximum interest rate of 1.99% per month;
up to 48 months of term;
term of up to 35 days for payment of the first installment;
limit on new debt (after discounts) up to R$15 thousand per person, per financial institution;
The worker is also allowed to use 20% of the balance of the Severance Indemnity Fund (FGTS) account, or up to R$1 thousand, whichever is greater, to partially or fully pay debts.
In Desenrola do Fies, in turn, 82 thousand renegotiations were made, and in Desenrola das companies, another R$11 billion were renegotiated in 85 thousand operations.
