The Brazilian team's uniform for the trip to the USA becomes a meme on social media
The aerial monitoring website FlightRadar24 published on its website on Tuesday (2) the balance of the teams' most viewed flights towards the USA on its platform.
The Brazilian flight, from Galeão airport, in Rio de Janeiro, to Newark, in New Jersey, was the most viewed: 1,181,946 users followed the team's journey. Germany came in second place, with 791,539 hits.
"Germany and Brazil haven't faced each other in the World Cup since 2014, but on the way to this year's games, Brazil is at the top of Flightradar24's most tracked list", says a post from the site's account on the social network Brazilian "victory" by an elastic score, however, was not read as a good sign by all Brazilian fans. One of them noticed that the first digit of each number forms the famous 7x1 score by which the Germans defeated the Brazilian team at Mineirão, in the 2014 World Cup.
'Damn', says user of the social network 2026. The aircraft responsible for carrying the delegation was a Boeing 767-300ER, registered ZS-NEX, from the South African company Aeronexus.
Despite belonging to the foreign company, the plane will depart with Azul sticker, which acts as a partner of the Brazilian Football Confederation (CBF) in this operation.
The aircraft has already been chartered by the British band Rolling Stones for some tours and by Flamengo, among others customers.
Aircraft that will take the Brazilian team to the 2026 World Cup.
Reproduction
Taking flight in search of the hexa in a plane from one company, but with stickers from another, is something unusual in the Brazilian team. At the 2022 World Cup, the team traveled to Qatar on a Qatar Airways jet, without a Gol sticker - the sponsor at the time.
In 2018, the confederation rented an Airbus A340, also without a Gol sticker.
According to Azul, the CBF requested an executive aircraft with more than 90 seats in this configuration, something that currently does not exist in Brazil. Therefore, the confederation itself was responsible for chartering the plane from Aeronexus, which will also provide the aircraft's crew. The Brazilian airline, in turn, will only be responsible for characterizing the aircraft.
