Trump's new tariff against Brazil - The Issue #1733

The investigation conducted by the United States Commerce Office concluded that Brazil adopts unfair practices and proposed the application of 25% tariffs on Brazilian goods - the body included a list of exceptions for products considered strategic by the US, such as meat, fruits, coffee, aircraft, rare earths, among others.
The list of practices that "burden or restrict" the US, according to the investigation, include PIX, illegal deforestation, piracy and failures to apply anti-corruption laws. In Brazil, the measure has already had political reverberations and statements from President Lula and Senator Flávio Bolsonaro.
