Uruguayan Federation is confident that it will be able to count on Arrascaeta in the World Cup

In a meeting with the president of Uruguay, Yamandú Orsi, the president of the Uruguayan Football Association (AUF) reassured fans about the physical state of Giorgian De Arrascaeta.

The midfielder left Celeste training this Tuesday morning (2) with pain in his calf, according to the newspaper "Ovación", and underwent tests to confirm whether it was an injury.

"For now, I have the same information as you, the information we got during training. Nothing yet, we don't know if it's an injury, but we're confident that it won't stop him from being at the World Cup; I hope that's the case, but we don't have confirmation yet," said Alonso.
