Images published on social networks have given small spoilers in recent weeks about how the characterization of characters in the film 'Let life take me', which will show the story of Zeca Pagodinho, will be.
The plot, inspired by the book "Zeca: Deixa o Samba Me Levar", by authors Jane Barboza and Leonardo Bruno, follows the life of Zeca Pagodinho since his humble origins in the suburbs of Rio de Janeiro. The film follows the artist's trajectory through samba circles, his fundamental friendships and the improvisation that marked his artistic career, until his consecration as one of the biggest names in Brazilian music.

The filming, which ends this week, was carried out in emblematic places in Zeca's history such as Clube Helênio, in Catumbi; the Cacique de Ramos; Boêmios de Irajá - both in the North Zone of Rio; and several locations in Xerém, in Duque de Caxias.

Mosquito will play Zeca Pagodinho in the cinemas

The main character of the film will be played by Mosquito, who like Zeca is also a singer, composer, musician and samba singer.
Arlindo Cruz
In the film, Arlindinho will play his father, Arlindo Cruz, Zeca's great friend and songwriting partner. The two worked together on works such as Bagaço de orange (with Pedrinho da Flor and Baiano), Alto lá (with Sombrinha), Camarão que dormi a vento levada (with Beto Sem Braço), among many others.

Mônica Silva
Monica Silva, Zeca's wife Pagodinho, will be played by Talita Younan. The couple has been together for 40 years.

Beto Sem Braço
Another of Zeca's partners, Beto Sem Braço will also be in the film. Laudeni Casemiro will be played by Ismael Veríssimo. With Beto, Zeca composed sambas such as "Mal de amor" and "Camarão que dormi a onda levada" (also in partnership with Arlindo Cruz). The film, directed by Silvio Guindane, also features, for example, Stephanie Serrat as Beth Carvalho.
Other actors who will participate are Ailton Graça, Ângelo Antônio, Aline Borges, Ismael Verissimo, Dani Ornellas, Caíto Mainier, Jackson Antunes, Ângelo Paes Leme, Flavia Santana, Mikimbeth, Joaquim Lopes, Xando Graça, Antônio Pitanga, Roney Villela and Fernanda Fuchs.
In addition to them, the honoree himself, Zeca, who recorded a participation in the film, which should premiere in 2027.
