Plane returns to the USA after passenger names Bluetooth device as 'bomb'

The incident occurred during a United Airlines flight. After identifying the name of the device, the crew decided to interrupt the trip and return to Newark because of a possible security threat.
"We are going back to Newark because we have a passenger who appears to be playing a joke that is not funny and compromises the safety of the flight," said a crew member.
After landing, police officers were called to respond to the incident and enter the plane. Passengers had to disembark and undergo a new security inspection before boarding again.
Jordan Moore, who was on the flight, told NBC that the situation generated uncertainty among passengers.

The episode occurred just hours after another security problem involving a United Airlines flight.
An aircraft heading from Chicago to Minneapolis had to make an emergency landing in Wisconsin after a passenger tried to access the pilot's cabin several times, according to local authorities.
According to the Dane County Sheriff's Office, the 75-year-old man was restrained by FBI agents who were on board. Authorities said he appeared to be experiencing a mental health crisis.
No one was injured in either incident.
