End of the 6x1 scale: the political agreement and the future of the proposal - The Issue #1731

On the night of last Wednesday (27), the plenary of the Chamber of Deputies approved in two rounds the Proposed Amendment to the Constitution that changes the standard work schedule from 6 days worked for 1 day off to 5 days for 2 and reduces the weekly working hours from 44 to 40 hours. Built from a PEC presented in 2019 and the result of an agreement between President Lula and the President of the Chamber, Hugo Motta, the text was approved by a large majority and will now go to the Federal Senate - where the President of the House, Davi Alcolumbre, will guide a new analysis of the matter.
