Cuiabá beat CRB 2-0 on Sunday night (31), at Arena Pantanal, in a game valid for the 11th round of Series B of the Brazilian Championship.


Both of Cuiabana's winning goals were in the first half, in a space of just 4 minutes. Marlon took a free kick at the second post, João Basso headed into the small area and Vinícius Peixoto only completed it to open the account in the 34th minute.


Then, at 38, Marlon stole the ball in attack and sent in Vinícius Peixoto, who finished for a good save by Vitor Caetano. However, on the rebound, Pepê pushed it into the net and closed the score.

SERTENEJO PEQUENO

This was the Mato Grosso team's first victory in the competition. There were 5 games with 4 draws and just one defeat playing at the Arena. With the result, Dourado reaches 13 points and occupies 15th place, for now four points above the relegation zone.


The team from Rio Grande do Norte drops four positions in the round, but is still a little higher: it appears in 12th place, with 14 points won. Furthermore, it loses its excellent streak of four consecutive victories in Series B.

In the next round, Cuiabá visits Ponte Preta at Moisés Lucarelli, in Campinas, on June 9th, at 7pm (Brasília time). CRB will host São Bernardo next Sunday (7), at 4pm, at Rei Pelé, in Maceió.
