Government celebrates approval of 6×1 in the commission and aims for 450 votes in the plenary

The government celebrated the approval of the report by deputy Leo Prates (Republicanos-BA) on the end of the 6×1 scale. In a press conference after the vote in the special commission, minister Luiz Marinho (Labor) and the president of the collegiate body, Alencar Santana (PT-SP), said that the vote will be taken in two rounds this Thursday (27) and approval is expected in the House.

The deputy celebrated what he called a "historic day" and said that the president of the Chamber, Hugo Motta (Republicanos-PB), will make an effort to approve the text in the plenary. Still according to him, the opposition would have been "disoriented" by the vote.

"A historic day for this commission that, throughout this month, achieved this significant approval today. It is something that the people expect from the guarantee of two days of rest and the reduction of working hours, an old struggle. Let's go to the plenary where we will have a significant vote", celebrated Santana. "And the opposition was bewildered. It showed its lack of preparation by asking for 10 years of transition and at the last minute tried to disrupt and deceive the people."

The PEC at the end of the 6×1 has the support of Motta. The government's calculations revolve around 450 votes in the plenary to approve the text "calmly".

According to him, Planalto will mobilize to talk to the president of the Senate, Davi Alcolumbre (União-AP), even after the tension involving the Upper House and the Executive.

Despite the pressure, Marinho said that Hugo Motta also met with businesspeople, as well as the government itself. According to him, all sides were heard to make the decision.
