Palomma Duarte's daughter reveals why her mother tried to keep her away from TV

Actress Ana Clara Winter, 28, revealed that her mother, Palomma Duarte, did not encourage her to work as an actress. The young woman, who is also the daughter of actor Marcos Winter, said that there was fear due to the difficulties in the market.

"I confess that my mother, whatever she could do to stop me from doing [pursuing an acting career], she did. And then there was a moment when she said: 'really, there's nothing I can do'", says Ana Clara in an interview with Nepograma.

She then explains Palomma's attitude: "I think that, because they [her parents] have worked with this since they were very young and have this awareness of the market - we live in Brazil, so it's really difficult, and today I have this awareness -, they stopped me from doing a very young soap opera."

The actress reveals that, after doing her first soap opera at the age of eight, broadcasters got in touch for new work, but Palomma blocked the offers. "I can understand her role as a mother, because she is super concerned", she says.

On the other hand, the actress remembers that her father, Marcos Winter, always encouraged her to pursue an acting career. "Not that my mother doesn't encourage me, but she's always had that concern."

Ana Clara Winter is known for her roles in soap operas, such as " Além da Ilusão " (2022) and " Malhação " (2019). In addition to being the daughter of Palomma Duarte and Marcos Winter, the actress is also the granddaughter of Débora Duarte and Antônio Marcos and great-granddaughter of Lima Duarte.
