Neymar talks about injury before the World Cup: "What's a problem?"

Neymar watched Santos' victory over Deportivo Cuenca in the Copa Sudamericana this Tuesday (28) and was asked about the calf injury he is treating before the World Cup.

This Wednesday, most of the athletes will present themselves at Granja Comary, in Teresópolis, for the Brazilian team. The attacker will be evaluated by the CBF medical team. The intention is to evaluate the evolution of the edema and release the star, or not, for the next matches.

Neymar is a doubt in friendlies
Away from Santos' games, Neymar could also be absent in the Seleção's friendlies.

According to information published by TNT Sports this Tuesday (26), the athlete is expected to be absent from the Brazilian team for the friendlies against Panama and Egypt before the World Cup.

Cuca is optimistic
Santos coach, Cuca spoke about the real physical condition of Neymar, who is dealing with a calf injury and will appear in the Brazilian team this Wednesday (27).

After Santos' 3-0 victory over Deportivo Cuenca, the coach was asked if the number 10 will be fit to play for the friendlies before the World Cup, against Panama and Egypt.

"Neymar is improving day by day. He presents himself tomorrow (this Wednesday) at the CBF and now he's there with Rodrigo Lasmar (the team's doctor). He did all his treatment here and I think he's better day by day. There should be a little bit left and then he'll finish what's left", declared the coach.

Brazilian National Team Schedule
The players called up will present themselves this Wednesday (27), with the exception of defenders Gabriel Magalhães and Marquinhos, as well as striker Gabriel Martinelli, who will compete in the Champions League final next Saturday (30), between PSG and Arsenal. Athletes involved in the Libertadores and Copa Sudamericana will also be able to perform later.

After four days of training at Granja Comary, the team says goodbye to Brazil in a friendly against Panama, on the 31st. The players will have a day off after the match and report to the CBF headquarters the following day, at 4pm (Brasília time). From there, they will head to Tom Jobim International Airport, where they will depart for the United States at 8pm.

The team will use the New York Red Bulls CT, in New Jersey, as a base during the World Cup. On June 6th, Brazil plays the last game before the World Cup, against Egypt.

Brazil's debut in the World Cup is on June 13, against Morocco, in New Jersey. Group C still has Haiti and Scotland.
