Senator Flávio Bolsonaro (PL-RJ) stated that he discussed the fight against organized crime, investments in rare earths and tariffs on Brazilian products during a meeting this Tuesday (26) with the President of the United States, Donald Trump.

During a press conference after the meeting, Flávio said he had "emphatically" asked the American government to classify the PCC (Primeiro Comando da Capital) and the CV (Comando Vermelho) as "foreign terrorist organizations".

The pre-candidate for Palácio do Planalto also criticized the stance of President Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva (PT) during a previous meeting with Trump, held in May this year.

"While Lula goes on his knees begging President Trump not to consider criminal factions as terrorists, I do the opposite", said the senator.

According to Flávio, Brazilian criminal organizations have reached a transnational level, with branches in the United States and Europe, while Brazil has become "a major center for money laundering".

"There are already investigations there in Brazil and here showing Hezbollah and Hamas using Brazilian companies to launder money", he declared.

The senator also claimed to have told Trump that, if elected in 2026, Brazil will join a "shield of the Americas" alongside the United States, Argentina, El Salvador, Paraguay, Panama and the Dominican Republic in an alliance to combat organized crime.

The pre-candidate for Palácio do Planalto also highlighted what he called a "glaring difference" between his government proposal and that of President Lula.

"Instead of ideological alignment with authoritarian regimes, Brazil needs strategic partnerships that generate jobs, investments and development", he emphasized.

Rare earths and pricing
The senator also said he had discussed with Trump possible investments in rare earths and critical minerals. For Flávio, Brazil has a strategic position in the sector and can become an alternative to China in supplying these resources.

"We have the second largest reserves in the world and we are the only real alternative to China for the free world. In my government there will be long-term strategic partnerships between the two countries," he said.

The senator added that, in a possible government led by him, there would be no need for commercial retaliation against Brazil, as he intends to build a "historic agreement" with the Americans.

"On the topic of tariffs, I made it clear that, under my government, there will be no need for commercial retaliation against Brazil. We will make a historic trade and investment agreement, good for both countries", he concluded.
