The president of Fiesp (Federation of Industry of the State of São Paulo), Paulo Skaf, stated that he is against the discussion about reducing the 6×1 scale when it is conducted with political and electoral motivation.
In a press conference held this Tuesday (26), the businessman highlighted that he is not opposed to debates in Brazil, but argues that any discussion, especially those involving changes in working hours, must be conducted in a calm, responsible manner and without political contamination.
"We don't want to have a rigid situation in Brazil that doesn't exist anywhere else in the world. The scale of work depends on each case and sector. We're going to take away people's freedom to pursue their own interests", explained Skaf.

The president of Fiesp also said that his hope is that, in the Senate, the debate will be "tread in a different way, with more serenity, responsibility, a more democratic discussion, and that it will really seek what is best for Brazil".
"We need to take our time and not do it hastily, without listening to anyone", he said.
