Bodybuilder Dudu Fit announced this Tuesday (26) that he will no longer compete in the Musclecontest Brasil, scheduled for July, in Curitiba. The decision comes just days after the death of Gabriel Ganley, aged 22, who would have been his main rival in the event.
In a video published on social media, Dudu stated that he will be present at the championship, but only to pay tribute to the athlete.
"Everything in this championship was about me and him. So nothing more fair than me paying tribute to him", he declared.

Encouraged by the fans, Ganley and Dudu spent months exchanging public provocations until making the confrontation official, which also included a bet of R$20,000.
Musclecontest Brasil would also mark Ganley's return to the stage after three years away from competition. The return was motivated precisely by the dispute against Dudu.

In addition to Dudu, another name close to Ganley confirmed his participation in the event as a tribute. Matheus Lacerda, known as "Mahhtla", stated that he will take the stage to represent his friend and complete the project started by the two.
