Video shows moment in which woman is rescued after jetski ride in SP

New images show the moment when the woman, who disappeared with her companion during a jet ski trip in Ilhabela (SP), this Sunday (24), was found alive at sea this Tuesday (26).

The rescue took place two days after the disappearance. It was located between 5 and 10 nautical miles off the coast of Búzios Island, about 18 kilometers from where the couple went for a walk.

CNN Brasil blurred the image to preserve the woman's condition after being found adrift on the high seas. The victim was taken to Ilhabela Municipal Hospital where he was treated by doctors.

According to the Maritime Fire Brigade, the woman and her companion had gone out on a watercraft near Ponta das Canas Beach, around 4pm, but did not return to their point of origin.

Firefighters continue to search for the victim's companion.

The search for the couple began on the night of their disappearance, with the support of fishermen and professionals linked to nautical activities in the region.

The following day, under the command of the 6th Group of GBMar, around 10 professional divers and 15 students from the Fire Department's Scuba Diving Course participated in the incident, in addition to air support from the FAB (Brazilian Aeronautical Force).

According to reports from those involved to GBMar, the cell phone of one of the victims was located inside the watercraft with a low battery charge.

In addition, the air teams managed to locate, on Monday afternoon (24), part of the motorcycle, which was sunk in the water. This contributed to delimiting the search area more precisely.

According to firefighters, the couple was participating in a get-together with a group of friends on a boat when they decided to take the water trip. The woman and her partner did not say where they were going.

After realizing that their friends had not returned to shore, the group called the maritime emergency, which began the search.
