Now it's official: Ferrari has launched its first electric car and it has a name that refers to electrification. Named Luce, the word in Italian means: light or illumination.

With a controversial design, already expected from the photos, the electric model also aims to surprise in its performance capacity - a strong point of the Italian manufacturer.

With four electric motors, the Ferrari Luce reaches 1,050 hp of power delivered in a way never seen before by the brand - now with immediate torque. Furthermore, it promises to go from 0 to 100 km/h in just 2.5 seconds and reaches 200 km/h in 6.8 seconds.

Acceleration only stops when reaching a maximum speed of 310 km/h - a superlative number considering the 2,260 kg of weight.

Another highlight is the aerodynamics. The model has active solutions to improve airflow and reduce energy consumption, as well as adaptive suspension and a fast charging system of up to 350 kW.

Almost artisanal, the Italian manufacturer also developed its own new platform and produced practically all components in Maranello, including the battery and engines.

The Ferrari Luce is a 100% regular model and will not be sold as a special series.

Cabin
Inside, Ferrari opted for a more technological cabin, with digital screens, physical controls and a sound system with 21 speakers.

The brand also highlights acoustic comfort, stating that this is the quietest and most comfortable Ferrari ever produced.

Another highlight is that, even though it is electric, the Luce will have an artificial sound system created by Ferrari itself to maintain part of the sporty feeling when driving. The driver can adjust the sound intensity through the driving modes.

In terms of screens, the model will have four OLED displays developed exclusively by Samsung Display for the Italian brand's first electric car.

In total, the cabin will feature 12.9", 12", 10.1" and 6.3" screens, distributed between the instrument panel, multimedia center, passenger panel and rear controls, respectively. Another difference is that the Ferrari Luce has four doors (like the Purosangue), but has seats for five people.

The Luce's design was created in partnership with LoveFrom, a company led by Jony Ive, former head of design at Apple. Deliveries of the long-awaited Luce, priced at €550,000 (around R$3.5 million), are expected to begin in the fourth quarter of 2026.
