Zayn Malik responds to criticism after hotel controversy: "They are stalkers"

After being the target of several criticisms last Monday night (25), singer Zayn Malik, 33, spoke out about the accusations that he had ignored fans when leaving a hotel.

The Brit's statement came in the comments of a publication on the North American portal TMZ, in which the caption stated: "Zayn Malik only had one direction in mind: getting straight into the car that was waiting for him... but, unfortunately for him, the fans had other plans!".

"Let's get the facts straight: the fans were and always are respectful and incredible. The problem was the presence of several adult men blocking the hotel and car doors for 10 minutes, preventing us and security from leaving. They are not fans, they are stalkers who show up wherever someone they want to meet is and do the same thing to everyone to try to get content. This is not safe, it is not acceptable and it ruins the experience for the true fans," he declared.
