The 33rd edition of the BTG Pactual Brazilian Music Award will honor Cazuza in a ceremony scheduled for June 10th, at the Theatro Municipal in Rio de Janeiro.
The event will bring together artists from different generations and musical styles in new performances inspired by the work of the singer and composer, one of the most emblematic names in Brazilian music.
The awards will be presented by actresses Debora Bloch and Alice Wegmann. The musical direction will be in charge of Pretinho da Serrinha.
Author of classics such as "Exagerado", "O Tempo Não Para", "Codinome Beija-Flor" and "Brasil", Cazuza will be celebrated in a show that aims to highlight the strength and relevance of his work almost four decades after his death.

According to the award's creator, Zé Mauricio Machline, the tribute seeks to highlight the cultural impact left by the singer.
"Celebrating Cazuza is celebrate the courage, freedom and power of a work that is still alive and necessary", said Machline.
In addition to the special presentations, the night will also reveal the winners of the 18 categories of the award, which recognizes artists, albums and projects released in the last year.
Among those nominated are names such as Marisa Monte, Djavan, Emicida, Ana Castela, Alcione, Marina Sena, Péricles and Xande de Pilares.
The award also highlighted that it has been expanding its activities beyond the annual ceremony, with initiatives aimed at the training and development of artists and professionals in the music sector.
The choice of Cazuza as the honoree for the 2026 edition was unanimously approved by the awards council, made up of artists and music professionals, including Gilberto Gil, Ney Matogrosso, Zélia Duncan and Karol Conká.
