See the moment of the bus accident that ended with eight injuries in SP

Security camera videos recorded the moment of the accident with a bus that ended with eight people injured in Jardim Jaqueline, in Vila Sônia, west zone of São Paulo, this Tuesday morning (26). The case occurred on Denis Chaudet Street.

In the images you can see the collective going down the road at high speed. He collides with a school van, which had its rear-view mirror ripped off and, shortly afterwards, crashes into a building.

According to the Fire Department, two victims were trapped in the hardware of the bus that was on route 7002/10, between Jardim Rosa Maria and Hospital das Clínicas.

Also according to the corporation, a 43-year-old woman was rescued by the Águia helicopter, from the PM (Military Police), with a broken leg and chest pain, and was taken to Hospital das Clínicas.

Another woman suffered a knee contusion and cervical trauma, and was taken to the emergency room at the UPA (Emergency Care Unit) in Santo Amaro.

The third victim treated by firefighters was taken to the emergency room of the University Hospital with minor injuries.

Two other people received care from Samu (Mobile Emergency Care Service), but there are no details about their health status. In addition, three people refused treatment after undergoing medical evaluation.

According to firefighters, all the injured were passengers on the bus.

The state Civil Defense reported that both the agency and the Municipal Protection Coordination were called. The report found that three properties were closed due to the risk of collapse and the residents of a house next to the accident site will be evacuated as a precaution.

In total, 11 Fire Department vehicles were mobilized for the incident.

In a statement, SPTrans and SMT (Municipal Secretariat for Urban Mobility and Transport) stated that a team was sent to investigate the case and that the other buses on the line are being diverted in both directions.
