Labubu or Lafufu? Find out how to differentiate the little monsters
The Labubu dolls will be officially sold in Brazil. Candide confirmed this Tuesday (26) a partnership with Pop Mart, the Chinese company that owns the characters, to bring the products to the Brazilian market.
Sales will start in June, scheduled for the 5th, Candide informed g1. According to the company, Pop Mart's operation in Brazil will feature 30 different products, priced between R$299.99 and R$799.99.
Labubus are plush dolls with an eccentric appearance and serrated teeth, created in 2015 by Hong Kong artist Kasing Lung.
They have become a rage in recent months, first among celebrities. Rihanna, Maya Massafera, Virginia Fonseca and Marina Ruy Barbosa have already appeared with the dolls hanging from bags.
The originals are sold in surprise boxes, which means that the buyer only finds out which character they received after opening the packaging. Depending on luck, it is possible to take from common models to rare versions of the collection.

After the partnership with Pop Mart, the characters helped the Chinese manufacturer to earn more than US$ 2.3 billion, according to Forbes.
Until then, Pop Mart products were not officially sold in Brazil. With the craze for dolls on social media, counterfeit versions began to be easily found in the country.
While an original Labubu cost as much as US$300 (around R$1,600) in June last year, it was possible to find replicas in the 25 de Março region for prices between R$65 and R$250, as g1 showed in June 2025.
"The time has come to offer this experience in a better way. official, with broad access and the quality that the brand represents", said Moise Candi, CEO of Candide.
