"I didn't see meaning in life", says Anitta when remembering difficult times

Singer Anitta, 33, recalled difficult periods in her life when talking about self-knowledge. Amid the rise that transformed her into one of the greatest artists of our time, the performer of "Envolver" admitted that she came to see no meaning in her own existence.

While participating in the podcast Filosofia para Viver, presented by speaker Lúcia Helena Galvão, Anitta explained that emptiness took over her routine in some phases.

"At many moments in my life, I simply went into a very deep hole and I stayed in that hole. I cried... it felt like I was a baby that had just been born. It was a deep cry, a deep hole", he said.

The funk singer stated that she could not understand her own pain.

"I didn't see meaning in life. There were moments when I didn't see why I was alive, you know? It was a very painful thing that I didn't understand", he added.

The star reported that things improved when she decided to begin a process of self-knowledge and rethink some behavior patterns.

"From two years ago, when I began to delve into self-knowledge and understand each pattern, each repetitive cycle of my life, each hole, where each void was, how I could fill it... Only I could fill myself and love myself and accept myself and see myself without guilt, without shame... And, nowadays, it's very rare for me to have a moment like that. I've never had it this deep again", he celebrated.

The singer admitted that she needed to change her perspective on how she faced adversity.

"I had a lot of this habit of: 'Ah, because so-and-so did it, so-and-so'. Never: 'I did it'; it was always others. Today I believe that, that we ourselves are the ones who decide the destinies of our lives", he stated.
