Mission will carry out more than 100 experiments
According to the China Manned Space Agency, Shenzhou-23 will continue more than 100 scientific and technological projects during its stay in orbit.

The studies involve areas such as:

- space life sciences;
- medicine;
- materials science;
- new technologies;
- research on the behavior of fluids in a microgravity environment.

According to the agency's spokesperson, Zhang Jingbo, the mission also seeks to expand knowledge about prolonged stay in space.

Among the objectives are analyzes of the adaptation of the human body, tests of health systems for astronauts and continued research over longer periods in the space environment.

Chinese space program advances
The launch of Shenzhou-23 took place on Sunday (24), from the Jiuquan Satellite Launch Center, in northwest China.

The mission marks a new stage in the Chinese space program after the country has been without manned flights since 2024.

Before takeoff, astronaut Zhu Yangzhu stated that the operation represents yet another advance by China towards longer and more complex missions in space.
