President of the PL says that Flávio went to Vorcaro after the rest of the money

The national president of the PL, Valdemar Costa Neto, stated this Monday (25) that the visit of the senator and pre-candidate for the Presidency of the Republic Flávio Bolsonaro (PL-RJ) to the owner of Banco Master, Daniel Vorcaro, was to "see if he could get the rest of the money" promised by the banker for the production of the film "Dark Horse".

"Vorcaro didn't have any problems when he [Flávio] asked for money [...] He went to visit afterwards to see if he could get the rest of the money", said Valdemar in an interview with Globo News.

Last week (19), Flávio admitted that he visited the former banker in 2025, after he was arrested for the first time as part of the Compliance Zero operation, which investigates irregularities involving the now liquidated Banco Master.

According to the pre-candidate, the meeting aimed to conclude negotiations for Vorcaro to sponsor a film about former president Jair Bolsonaro (PL).

"In May 2025 was the last time that he [Vorcaro] honored the payments. In the meantime, as the people involved in this film were not receiving any return, I went to ask him to have some position. At the end of 2025 it was that audio that you all heard, that I ask for some light on the final word, on what will happen, because there was a great risk of the film being closed. The next day, he was arrested. At this moment, we saw there that he gave a turn of the key, we understand that the situation was more serious", said Flávio in a press conference after meeting with the Liberal Party.

The statement came after the Intercept Brasil portal leaked an exchange of messages between Flávio and Daniel Vorcaro, in which the parliamentarian asked for money to finance the film.

According to the exchange of messages published by Intercept Brasil on May 13, Flávio had negotiated around R$134 million with the owner of Banco Master to finance the production of the feature film about the former president.

However, in today's interview, Valdemar justified the senator's visit as "normal", since the banker had committed to the payment and Flávio needed to know if the rest of the amount would be delivered.

According to him, Vorcaro was just being investigated and "wasn't sentenced to anything", so the meeting was natural.

"He may have gone there to say, 'Come here, are you going to stop paying me? Can you afford to pay me?' Because we imagine he has money. And he was not convicted", said the president of the PL.

Valdemar declared that even under the impacts that the involvement of the senator and Vorcaro have had in the electoral campaign, Flávio remains the party's name for the presidential race.

Also according to the president of the party, a possible change in the candidacy, such as the launch of Michelle Bolsonaro for the position, is not under discussion.
