After split in PT in Rio Grande do Sul, Juliana Brizola announces pre-candidacy

Former state deputy Juliana Brizola launched this Monday (25) her pre-candidacy for the government of Rio Grande do Sul by the PDT (Democratic Labor Party).

The name chosen for vice-president is Edegar de Pretto (PT), who withdrew from leading a campaign after pressure from the national leadership of the Workers' Party.

After defining the names, at the event held in Porto Alegre this Monday, Juliana sought to create a friendly atmosphere and spoke about the union for "an economic and social project".

In parallel to the ceremony, a portal called "Coração Gaúcho" was also launched on the pre-candidate's website, which presents the candidate's proposals, as well as seeking to be a channel for dialogue with voters.

In addition to the names of Juliana and Edegar, the names of Manuela d'Ávila (PSOL) and Paulo Pimenta (PT) were also reinforced on the ticket as pre-candidates for the Senate for the state. Juliana praised the partnership with the two and spoke of the election of "quality people to represent the people of Rio Grande do Sul."
